Third-Party Fundraisers

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF)! Third-party fundraisers provide an opportunity for everyone in Canada to take reconciliACTION, simple acts that bring people together in the spirit of reconciliation, sharing, and education. As Gord would say, they inspire us to “Do Something”. Thank you for answering Gord’s call with your time and generosity.

Initiatives like yours support our programs, campaigns, and events, and they remind us of the power of working together toward a shared goal.

How it works:

  1. Tell us about your fundraising idea by completing the submission form.
  2. A DWF team member will contact you within one week of submitting your form to share information about our Third-Party Fundraising Policy & Agreement and answer any questions you may have about the process.
  3. You will have the opportunity to review the Third-Party Fundraising Policy & Agreement, and once it is signed, we will provide you access to our official third-party fundraising branding and our ReconciliACTION Toolkit. The ReconciliACTION Toolkit has everything you need to plan an event, fundraiser, or other initiative to raise awareness and funds for DWF and to promote reconciliation in your community.

Here is a link to our Fundraising FAQ. You can also reach out to our Development Associate, Jenna Courage, at jenna@downiewenjack.ca if your question isn’t answered here, or if you require additional support. Once your fundraiser is complete, don’t forget to share your story and photos through our ReconciliACTION form!
