The DWF LIVE sessions are an extension of our Legacy Schools High School Artist Ambassador program, and we greatly appreciate you sharing your time, stories, and talents to further understanding and ignite change.
DWF LIVE connects viewers to Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists, role-models, and change-makers to build awareness, education, and connections. These sessions aim to inspire us all to answer Gord Downie’s call to “Do Something”, even during times of isolation, to further the conversation around reconciliation, create a greater appreciation for Indigenous history, teachings, and cultures, and ultimately strengthen connections and understanding.

Inspired by Chanie’s story and Gord’s call to build a better Canada, the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund aims to build cultural understanding and create a path toward reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Our goal is to improve the lives of Indigenous people by building awareness, education, and connections between all peoples in Canada.
